GRASP Scholarships for Private K-12 Schools in Virginia

The GReat Aspirations Scholarship Program (GRASP) is offering scholarships through our Education Improvement Scholarship Program for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade to attend a private school in Virginia.  GRASP currently partners with 27 private K-12 schools in Virginia, and we welcome other schools as potential partners.  Scholarships are renewable, depending upon donor support and assuming the family continues to meet the income requirements set by the Virginia Department of Education.

To be eligible, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen and a Virginia resident from a family whose household income is 300% or less of the federal poverty guideline or, in the case of a student with a disability, 400% or less, who will be enrolling in a private K-12 school.

How Much Scholarship Money is available?

Scholarships typically range from $2,700 to $6,800 per academic year. The maximum scholarship amount is determined by the Virginia Department of Education and varies by locality. See more details here.

How to apply

To apply for a GRASP EISP scholarship, a student must first apply and be accepted into one of our partner private schools.
See more details on how to apply here. If you have questions, contact Brenda Jackson, GRASP EISP Coordinator, for more information.

GRASP is able to provide these scholarships thanks to the generosity of our donors. GRASP is one of 40 approved foundations statewide that participate in Virginia’s Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credits Program (EISTCP). Through this program, qualified donors may receive a 65% state tax credit, in addition to the standard 35% federal charitable deduction.
